George Potter

Based on the Isle of Bute, George is a Scottish artist, furniture designer and maker of things. All items are crafted from materials that are responsibly sourced, either through finding, recycling or reusing.

There is an emphasis on craft, traditional methods of construction, materials and finish. No two items will be exactly the same, they are individual and unique to the owner. These things should add to our lives, bring their own stories.

As a society, we have become accustomed to the disposable, the transient, we should value the physicality of items. The things that we surround ourselves with, things we can touch and hold and pass on to others, can and should be beautiful and well made.
